"Between Law and Diplomacy" crafts an insider's look at
international trade disputes at one of the most important
institutions in the global economy--the World Trade Organization.
The WTO regulates the global rules for trade, and--unique among
international organizations--it provides a legalized process for
litigation between countries over trade grievances.
This book advocates, describes the need for, and seeks to commence movement toward, a "New World Order." There appears to be a current fascination with conspiracies, such as that called the "New World Order Illuminati Conspiracy"--sometimes said to be spearheaded by Lucifer (15 to 20 million Internet searches per week). Common sense dictates that this is extremely unlikely. This book, on the other hand, will convince the reader that a "new world order" is certainly necessary--but one that is quite different from the "takeover" and "enslavement" that is fearfully predicted. The within book calls for and describes a restructuring of the manner in which we govern ourselves and are governed--forming a union of all men under a competent, sensible, and beneficent government, having only peace, a better world, and a better life for all of mankind as its sole purpose and consequent function. As experience has often demonstrated, the most complex problems frequently have the simplest remedies. What is herein suggested and described is not a "revolution"--not a "takeover." It entails no "victory" by "A" over "B." Instead, it constitutes an outline of a common-sense solution, whose time has come; and which, with sufficient exposure and recognition, will be eventually favored and taken up by many--in a world grown weary of the perpetuity of unfortunate circumstances, mistreatment, conflict, and violence which surrounds us, and to which we are involuntarily subject each day.
